Death by prize bond: Man dies after winning Rs1.2m

When told he had the winning bond he had a heart attack and died inside the bank before help could arrive.

RAWALPINDI: A 60-year-old man named Zarar died upon learning that he had won Rs1,200,000 prize bond on Tuesday, Express News reported.

When told by the bank's management that he had the winning bond he had a heart attack and died inside the bank before help could arrive.

The bank is in Chungi Number 22 and he was a resident of Rawalpindi belonging to a poor family.

@ Sadaf kindly contact me, the media is circulating this fake news about my grandfather who actually died of an heart attack, but the ruthlessness of these people that they keep making fun of peoples misery through such reporting.The news kept circulating in my family through out the burial process, and the torment it caused, all the credit goes to the wretched media. I demand Tribune to post a retraction of this sham news and apologize.

Pakistanis seem to have lost the ability of winning, having perfected the art of losing... They simply roll over and drop dead, if they win accidently.
