Earlier in the day, firing from Indian Army allegedly killed two women and wounded seven civilians in Kashmir, Pakistan authorities claimed.
The two sides agreed to a ceasefire along the LoC in November 2003, but skirmishes have flared across the heavily-militarised Line of Control (LoC), the de facto border in Kashmir, in recent weeks, with both sides blaming each other for having violated the agreement.
However, Pakistan has maintained that it seeks to resolve all disputes with the neighbouring country through peace talks.

@Dr.A.K.Tewari: agree with you sir. I'm of Kashmiri ancestry but don't really feel any such solidarity with IHK..nor do any of my friends or family. We do however wish peace for Kashmir..like you would for Syrians Iraqis or Afghanis. I wish for this whole non sensical debate over Kashmir by both sides to end. Its become really stupid now.

Good decision and now the next step should be the handing over of all the offices to Hafiz Saeed who will take care of everything on the other side of the border.
Mia saheb , also put a stict ban on nation wide celiberation of Kashmir solidarity day . It is not an issue to be discussed on the street .

@jg: Hindu army? We call it the Indian army. This is why a Sikh can become a COAS on merit and no one cares. In case ou were not aware, our current COAS is Sikh and current Airforce chief is a Christian.

@jg: Secular Indian Nationalism is all inclusive and connects everybody just as it connected quite well to Bengali Nationalism in 1971.
Pak govt should instead indefinitely close embassy in Dehli and stop this mantra of peace with India which obviously neither wants it nor understands it- there isn't even a single neighbour which is either subservient to India and then is in peace or is in war with India directly or indirectly
Shut down only govt. offices, save your self , no one has to care for people until Indians get their full of killing them and stop firing. Why do pakistanis keep praising their army/ air force etc endlessly when they cant respond even once for 1 death. Its more of a show/ drama army than anything now. Muslim leaders have failed their people all over the world.

Pakistanis kill a few soldiers; Indians retaliate by killing civilians. We all know who is more mature at this point.
So, they attack us, and what we do in retaliation? We shut down our own offices. Did someone even think about it?
Pakistani terrorists who are unable to be controlled by the State are killing the border area people to put the blame on Indians. These are Stateless actors bent on spoiling the peace between the neighbors.

I guess Pakistan should now up the aggressive diplomacy. Muster up global community's support on this Indian drama. Keep adopting the policy of restraint but alongside this, up the aggressive diplomacy against Indian actions as well.

Yes we are watching, your resolve over past decade along LOC ! No one is buying this nonsense anymore, we all know as to the reality on ground. Sadly those that are sitting in their high office are seriously blind, deaf or both, as those elements in charge simply do not wish for peace, as their own self importance will diminish, which they simply can not allow, otherwise they will never again manage to take lion's share of the Nation's wealth !

In my comment on related news in ET (see my comments in this link: http://tribune.com.pk/story/594984/loc-aggression-indian-firing-injures-3-in-nakial-sector/) I called on the Indian Army to clear everyone within 2 miles on the other side of LoC. Good to see Pakistan's government has obliged and has ordered to shut down all government offices (ISI, LeT, JuD, etc) within 3 kilometres of the Line of control, pretty close to my call of 2 miles.
Looks like preparations for a prolonged gunbattle. RIP 2003 Ceasefire.
