A working group for dispute resolution was formed by the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, said a press release issued on Thursday.

The team would act as a mediator between two groups in order to resolve a conflict without it being taken up by the courts.

The responsibilities of the working group include support project designing, logical framework and action, support preparations of annual work plan, review draft policies formulated through project assistance and provide necessary support for project efficiency.

Home and Tribal Affairs Department Deputy Secretary (admin) Muntazir Khan, who is also the director of provincial public safety and the police complaints commissioner, will be the chairman of the group. Legal draftsperson (human resource development) of Peshawar High Court Riffat Aamir, local government elections and rural development department planning officer Javed Khan, and a representative of the additional Inspector General of Police (special branch) would act as members.

The statement asked all government departments to provide necessary details for updating the official web portal of the provincial government in this regard. Senior officials will provide information, content and material about their respective departments.
