Engineering education: UET admissions test on Sunday

Results will be announced in a week.

The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, on Friday announced the date for its Combined Entry Test (CET) for undergraduate engineering and technology programmes. It will be held on Sunday, August 18.


As many as 45,000 candidates are expected to sit the test, scheduled to start at 10am in 12 examination centres that have been set up across the province.

UET Spokesperson Rana Tanveer Qasim said that arrangements for the test had been finalised and teams have been dispatched to monitor and give the test at various centres. The test will be held at the same time at all the centres in the Punjab. The centres include Lahore UET campus, Taxila UET campus, Lahore Garrison University’s Jinnah Campus, Bahauddin Zakariya University’s Multan College of Engineering, Islamia University Bahawalpur’s College of Engineering, NFC Institute of Engineering and Fertiliser Research Faisalabad, University of Gujrat, International Islamic University Islamabad, Government College of Rasul Mandi Bahauddin, Dr AQ Khan Institute of Technology in Mianwali, and Kala Shah Kaku Campus of the UET.



A UET statement said strict measures had been taken to ensure secrecy and transparency of the test. Students will be able to access the key (answers) at midnight on Sunday. The test results will be declared at midnight on August 25. The results will be uploaded on the UET’s official website.
