SARGODHA: Residents of Jora Kalan on Friday staged a protest against accumulation of water in a graveyard in the area. The protesters blocked the Noorpur Thal-Joharabad Road by burning tyres. They said a water supply tank leak had inundated the graveyard. They said Noorpur Thal TMA was responsible for removing the water. TMO Rana Mehboob Alam refused to talk to the protesters referring them to the elected MNA and the MPA. The protesters said their demonstration would go on until the water was removed. Bar Association General Secretary Malik Shafqat Hussain Gujjar, Allama Sher Muhammad Sialvi and the traders’ union president Sheikh Abdul Majeed led the protest.
