FAISALABAD: A newborn girl was found abandoned in a toilet at the Allied Hospital on Wednesday. She was admitted into the children’s ward and was last reported to be out of danger. The hospital administration said the baby was born at the hospital a few hours ago. A few hours later when a nurse went to see the woman, she and the child were both missing. They said the paramedic staff looked for the two and found the baby in one of the toilets. Muhammad Akram, one of the paramedics, told The Express Tribune that the woman had arrived alone. He said the police had been informed. Talking to the media on behalf of the MS, Akram said if her parents were not traced, the baby would be handed over to a childless couple.
