LPG prices rise
LPG marketing companies increase prices by Rs7 per kilogramme.
ISLAMABAD:
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) marketing companies have increased prices by Rs7 per kilogramme, adding to double-digit inflation. As a result of what the distributors’ association described as an “illegal increase, prices of domestic cylinders have been increased by Rs80 and commercial cylinders by Rs320 in a short period of time.
After the increase, LPG prices in Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan are Rs107 per kg while those in Karachi and Hyderabad are at Rs90 per kg.
The hike is announced a day before the National Assembly’s standing committee on petroleum and natural resources is due to take up the issue on Wednesday.
