MULTAN: One of the three robbers who had entered a house pretending to poor men asking for zakat (charity) was caught by the residents and handed over to the police. His two accomplices fled.  Police said three men entered a house in Nizam Colony. They asked the owner to give them zakat. Police said the owner of the house, Muhammad Zahid, told them to wait in the lawn and went inside. Three men, armed with pistols, followed him in. They asked Zahid to hand them over all the cash and gold jewellery. Zahid took them to a room saying that all the cash was kept in the cupboard. When they went in, Zahid locked the door and informed his cousins, who lived nearby. They then beat up the three men. Two of them fled. Gulgasht police were informed and the robber was handed over to them.
