Soft Image: Heer recitation, Basant to be revived

The government has decided to revive Heer recitation competition in on the occasion of the urs of poet Waris Shah.

LAHORE: The government has decided to revive Heer recitation competition in Jandiala Sher Khan, on the occasion of the urs of poet Waris Shah. Minister for Education, Sports and Tourism Rana Mashhood said a Basant kite flying competition would be held at Changa Manga in March 2014. He said the prohibition on kite flying in Lahore and other urban cities would be strictly enforced.
