KHWAZAKHELA:

Two people accused of killing a family of four in Nowshera were arrested in Khwazakhela, Swat on Wednesday.

According to Khwazakhela police station, the accused, Bashir, with assistance from his brother Fazal Ghani, allegedly killed his wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law in Pushtoon Garhi on August 4 by slitting their throats. Later, they dumped the bodies along the banks of Swat and Kabul Rivers in gunny bags.

The accused brothers were arrested from Langar village in Khwazakhlea tehsil. The police said Bashir had allegedly kidnapped another sister-in-law as well. The brothers hail from Tarnab, Peshawar and had secretly shifted to Swat, a few days ago. The official said Bashir and Fazal were wanted by the Nowshera police.

“Following a tip-off from our sources, we raided a house in Langar where we found both the accused and arrested them. Once we complete our investigation, we will hand them over to the Nowshera police,” DSP Yousaf Ali told journalists.
