Balochistan crime: Father, son shot dead in Kharan

An armed men riding a motorcycle sprayed a volley of bullets on them, wounding both fatally.

QUETTA: A father and his son were gunned down in the Besima area of Kharan district on Sunday. According to the police, a man identified as former district chairman Zakat, Muhammad Sharif and his son Muhammad Younas were heading home from a bazaar in Besima area when armed men riding a motorcycle sprayed a volley of bullets on them, wounding both fatally. Police rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area, but the attackers managed to escape. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained. Separately, armed bandits intercepted a passenger bus in Kalat district on National Highway at gunpoint and deprived passengers of their mobile phones, cash and other valuables.
