Protests Planned: BNP leader’s house raided

BNP leader gunned down in target killing and illegal arrest of his relatives.

QUETTA: BNP Mengal has planned a series of protests against the raid on the residence of the late Noor Din Mengal, a BNP leader gunned down in target killing and illegal arrest of his relatives. Balochistan National Party Mengal (BNP) Secretary Information Agha Hassan Baloch lamented what he called the continuity of Musharraf’s and Zardari’s policies in the province, where the real power lay with the law enforcement agencies. He said: “Our 68 party members have been assassinated in target killing because they stood for the rights of the people of Balochistan.” The BNP announced a series of protests from August 3 to 7 against the raid, in which three party members were arrested, across the province.
