The increasing number of incidents of torturing and kidnapping of lawyers has created a wave of panic among the fraternity as another member of the Rawalpindi District Bar Association (DBA) went missing from the Morgah area on Tuesday.
The police said they have recovered the motorcycle of the kidnapped lawyer and added that Waheed Naz Janjua was on his way home when unknown kidnappers intercepted him.
DBA General Secretary Malik Zaheer Arshad condemned the incident and said the ongoing situation has created uncertainty among the lawyers community, adding that the kidnapping of yet another lawyer has exposed the poor law and order situation of the city.
He demanded that the government arrest the kidnappers and
recover Waheed as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the lawyers called a general body session to denounce the incidents and demanded swift action from the police.
Till the filing of this report, the police were clueless about the kidnappers.
