Conflicting reports: Two tribesmen gunned down

Both belonged to the Mehsud tribe and hailed from Shakai.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two tribesmen were gunned down by security forces in Nezomai, Shakai tehsil in Wana subdivision, South Waziristan late Sunday night.

Security officials and local sources identified the deceased men as Sherabat Khan Mehsud and Shiraz Khan Mehsud. Both belonged to the Mehsud tribe and hailed from Shakai, which borders the settlements of Wazir and Mehsud tribes, about 25 kilometres northwest of Wana Rustham Bazaar. There are conflicting reports as to whether the deceased were innocent or suspected militants.
