PABBI: District and Sessions Judge Abdur Rauf Khan has ordered a judicial inquiry of a harassment case filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial Finance Secretary Ishfaq Paracha on Saturday for allegedly sexually harassing a girl in his office on June 29.

Madeeha*, a student of FA in a local college from the Nowshera Cantonment filed a case with police. A large number of people were present at the case hearing on the premises of the court.

Madeeha stated she had decided to help her poverty stricken parents by working in a factory after her college was closed for the summer.

On June 19, she appeared for an interview in the Dilta Pharma Factory owned by Paracha, where he selected her for a job in the factory, she said.

On June 29, Paracha asked her to come to his office inside the factory where he offered her a good position and a handsome salary for sexual services, she said.

Madeeha, however, said that she refused to do so, after which Ishfaq closed the office door and tried to sexually harass and rape her. Her hue and cry frightened Ishfaq who then opened the door and let her go to her house.

An FIR was registered at the Risalpur police station on the directives of SHO Haji Muhammad, who after filing the case informed DPO Nowshera Waqar Ahmad and directed him to arrest Ishfaq Paracha.

An official said that it was a serious charge against PTI’s KPK leader and the secretary of Industrial Zone Risalpur Ishfaq Paracha, adding that he could be jailed if the charges against him were proved.

Paracha had earlier been given a clean chit by party leaders in an inquiry.

The victim along with her lawyer Saeed Akhtar Durrani was also present at the hearing.

PTI is a party formed accidentally while the wrong deeds of govt and opposition parties served as a catalyst. Absconders and expelled candidates from other parties added to its strength. All except a few members are morally or socially corrupt which is all against their claim of a party designed to bring change. It doesn’t mean that other parties’ leaders are not corrupt or criminal but they never claim so as well. IK has to live in politics for one more decade to form a party worth potential of bringing change. Evolution is yet to take its place with in party to bring revolution in pak. PTI needs a strict catharsis.

Imran and company are against women. They have divorced their own and now are busy assaulting on women and girls. shame on them for showing such a dark face. they told a lie before people before elections 2913. They just wanted to let Taliban give a safe passage to Peshawar and they did it. Peshawar is controlled by terrorists now. Now one is safe here.

Allegation is very serious and PTI should take it seriously and suspend him from the party till the time he gets a clean chit from the judiciary.

I am a supporter of PTI but I all for the investigation because if he is found guilty, he should pay the price. No man should be allowed get away with this.

If it is just another defamatory allegation to bring PTI in bad light even if he is not found guilty, everyone involved in it should feel shame and realise that they are sub-standard human beings.

I dont know how some people can sleep at night.

This is what happens when you start giving tickets electibles. Now Khan Sb has at hand a group of uncontrollable politicians, PTI fragmented into power groups, fake degree holders, morally corrupt people and the PTI ideological workers being sidelined. Being a PTI memeber and supporter this saddens me.

The man has already been acquitted by party inquiry. As far they are concerned, he is innocent, a victim maybe. Don’t be surprised if they girl is blamed for being ‘a deviant from the path’. That’s your typical Pakistani politics. PTI is not different.

The act is shameful be it a PTI, PML-N or a non-political figure involved. The disturbing part is they are humans and Pakistani’s. Should we all rise above our political affiliations and work for becoming a better society and humans?

    2 MPAs dead,
1 MNA out on fake degree,
1 major candidate out on fake degree,
1 minister under sexual assault charges,
1 provincial president convicted by NAB.
First 50 days of PTI government, which had promised to eradicate corruption and terrorism in 90 days. Anybody else missing PURANA PAKISTAN??

A criminal is a criminal, irrespective of his political affiliations. MQM is a different case of course. It otherwise is not a PTI-PML-N political fight. People spitting venom against PTI and IK should let common sense take charge of them for a change.

Also dont forget IK is still not adressing that Taliban issue but the horns. Just dallying around and going in circles as far as any thing related to Taliban is concerned. Jamatis have tought him well.

Ones individual act can not be blamed to his party or a leadership. We have many proven cases against PPP (Whaeeda Shah) case and PMLN Samina and other Bakery case. So case is in the court let the decision come. Meanwhile PTI leadership should suspend his membership till the court decision comes. We should not blame Imran Khan for this shameless act of hisbonenof the party member.

@Luqman: Your statement is a show of racism that Pakistani Society has for the people of Migrant families. Founding member of MQM were born in Pakistan but establish a Party after suffering injustice at the hands of Establishment. In front of Law, no one is above it. Self accountability should be done by PMLN and PTIs to point fingers at people.

He guys, so basically if a Muslim commits a crime – its not the individuals fault, but rather of the religion? If a Pakistani in the US decides to assault someone, we as a nation are responsible? If any one of us breaks a light , our families should be fined? Don’t get me wrong I am no pti spokesperson, as a Pakistani and a human being, like many of you I am only looking for a balanced objective view to make sense of the madness I see around everyday.

    Jul 29, 2013 - 10:07AM

    @Iftikhar Shah Gilani:
An individual’s act cannot be blamed to a party except when a party declares such a person innocent and refuses o take action against him.

Not surprising though when you consider that the party President refused to own his own daughter.

  • Yes but
    Jul 29, 2013 - 10:09AM

@A Khan: The party is responsible because it declared this person as not guilty after inquiry.

  • Jul 29, 2013 - 3:59PM

    @Iftikhar Shah Gilani:
You are mixing two different thing.Waheeda Shah/Samina Case is not about sexual harassment. This is very serious charge.Party is a corpoarte body that is run by people and if it’s members are involved in moral turpitude it means the party.Even Imran Khan had several scandals.Hi Imran darling let’s dance.

this is a total fake and planted case, the was hired by some PTI members from nowshera district to ruin his reputation due to power and position jealousy. the intersting part of the case is that Mr Paracha was not even present at the office on 29th june, the date of the incident. Secondly the girl was dismissed the the organization a few days before the day of the inicdent. Thirdly no girl on this planet would come on television with full make up after she has been harrassed so any sensible human would know this is all fake. only good for nothing retards who have nothing better to do would sit back at home and throw such comments .. without knowing the truth no one should throw judgements. Also thing what the family is going through after reading such useless base less comment .. My request to the newspaper is you should publish both side storys. this is one side of the story which you published but i was waiting for the other side in todays newspaper but failed to find it in the paper.

If PTI has failed to provide justice to its female worker, it can never do justice to the country.
Hence proven that PTI is a bunch of hardened criminals, sex freaks and bogus degreeholders.
When thousands of people are dying in KPK because of terrorist attacks, the one-man show lifetime Chairman Imran Khan Niazi spends vacations in UK.
Allah S.W.T. has saved Pakistan from the curse of these opportunists!
