Lahore High Court Justice Sheikh Najamul Hasan on Friday sought audio and video recordings of the speeches of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat leader Malik Ishaq while hearing a bail application.
The judge ordered the investigating officer to produce the record by July 31. Earlier, Ishaq’s counsel told the court that the police had registered two FIRs to victimise his client because of his religious views.
The investigation officer of Bhakkar police told the court that they had registered two cases against the accused on August 8, 2012 and February 2, 2013 for making provocative speeches at public gatherings.
