Evaluation: SSUET maintains its five stars

CIEC report grants ‘excellent’ grade to the university in all the engineering disciplines.

KARACHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology continues to maintain its five-star grade due to its excellent performance, according to a report of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) of the Sindh government. In its fifth inspection, evaluation and grading of SSUET for the period between 2010 and 2012, the CIEC granted five stars to the university on the basis of its overall performance. In its report, they granted ‘excellent’ grade to the university in all the engineering disciplines of bio-medical, civil, computer, electronics and telecommunications, besides computer science. The civil engineering has, however, earned the grade of ‘outstanding’ while other departments were including in the ‘excellent’ category.
