PESHAWAR: The Muttahida Talaba Mahaz (MTM) has asked the government to take action against the higher education secretary for alleged mismanagement. Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Monday, MTM provincial leader Munsif Ali Khan alleged the worsening condition in education institutions was because of the secretary’s incompetence. Munsif was flanked by student members of MTM from different institutions.“Institutions lack basic facilities. Not even clean drinking water is available in colleges around the province,” Munsif claimed. He alleged widespread corruption, adding the education secretary is unable to take any action against the culprits. He claimed the principal of Peshawar Government College had deployed police constables to restrict students from passing by in front of his office.
