Earlier, Prime Minister was to address the nation for the first time after taking office at 6pm from the PM house on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif has already been briefed by the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and other relevant departments on issues of national security.
The prime minister has also been briefed about the prevailing energy crisis in the country.
The address will consist of a general policy speech with particular focus on the energy crisis, Express News Bureau Chief in Islamabad Amir Ilyas Rana said.
The aim of the speech is to take the nation into confidence and address several problems, including the energy crisis.
The preparations of the speech are currently taking place at Nawaz Sharif’s house in Raiwand.
The speech will be recorded at the Prime Minister’s house and will be broadcasted on Monday at 6pm.
This is the third time that Nawaz Sharif has become prime minister, previously having served as Prime Minister from November 1990 to July 1993 and from February 1997 to October 1999.

Methinks speech's hypocritical words will not ready and as usual the nation knows it very well that what Nawaz Sharif will say? and who cares either addresses or not?
Be sure he will not give solution of any problem just comments on problems. He has excuse for every problems.
People have to wait 2 days more to listen to their problems. Mian nawaaz shareef saheb country is drowning further by 2 days

@ Riaz Ahmad: Although Allah used to send Prophets in case a nation would become corrupt, immoral and evil in the past, looks like for muslims His patience has run out long time ago and He has no clue to bring muslims back on track.
@asim: When a nation becomes corrupt, immoral and evil, Allah imposes equally corrupt, immoral and evil rulers on them.
No doubt, Mian Nawaz Sharif is a good Prime Minister. If he gives the nation a time frame for the end of energy crisis and this crisis really comes to an end ,our so-called nation will start telling that our electricity bills are beyond our financial capacity and will blame the government instead of confessing their own fault of mercilessly consuming the electricity all the time and may also say that this bill hike is just because of 'GANJAAS' .This is our worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can see National Unity at no place. Really quite true and shocking as well . Shame on us !!!
Nawaz is the main culprit for kargil war we expect punishment for that.
@startrek, wonderful comment :)
@jibran: Early stages? How polite!

Thats right but you must also read verses that describe punishment for wrong allegations.
@Fawad Ali Shah: Nawaz Sharif is suffering from early stages of dementia. My guess is that soon he would become a father figure for the party after Shahbaz Sharif, hamza shahbaz, and maryam nawaz strengthen their grip on the party.
I am confident he is the only one who can solve our problems.
The aim of the speech is to take the nation into confidence and address several problems, including the energy crisis.
