Fist fight breaks out at emergency ward

LAHORE: The emergency ward of Jinnah Hospital opened 10 hours after a closure which took place as a result of a scuffle between doctors and a patient’s family early on Sunday morning.

According to the Express 24/7 reporter, a woman had come into the ward late on Saturday night suffering from high sugar level. The patient’s sugar level dropped significantly after treatment after which she blamed the doctors of ill treatment.

According to the doctors, the woman later called in several men who had a scuffle with the doctors present in the ward. According to reports, the guards present in the ward were also held at gun point.

The doctors then closed the ward at 8am on Sunday morning. However, later the emergency ward was opened with the intervention of senior doctors.

A case has been registered at the Garden Town police station.

umer | 14 years ago | Reply all the ill mannered patients must know that doctors are the people who treats you... people come n say " negligence of doctors and wrong injection" who the hell are they to say such things if they know better treatment why they come to doctors.... and when they come to any tertiary hospital after being treated by QUACKS and self-medication then they start to blame doctors.... there is a very serious need of highlighting this aspect of such dilemma.... doctors are human too and reaction from doctors is quite natural thing if media cant do anything for them who will be the sufferer????? just think over it......
