Voting at Balochistan Assembly: Polling today for two Senate seats

The remaining three candidates will now contest for the seats.

QUETTA: Polling for two vacant Senate seats will be held in the Balochistan Assembly on Thursday (today).

According to the provincial chief election commissioner three candidates are in the run for the two seats.  Giving details of the polling Sultan Bazyed said the polling is likely to commence from 9am and will continue till 3pm. Earlier as many as five candidates had submitted their nomination forms for the vacant seats. However, two candidates from the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Imran Shah and Engineer Fazal Kareem withdrew their nomination papers. The remaining three candidates namely Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Abdul Rauf Lala of PkMAP and Wali Muhammad of JUI will now contest for the seats.
