The government is expected to issue a notification in a few days to raise salaries and pensions as announced in Budget 2013-14.

According to a summary sent by the Finance Department on Wednesday, the adhoc relief allowance at 10 per cent of basic pay will be paid to all government employees from July 1.

The raise would be subject to income tax. It would also be admissible during leaves.

The pensioners too would get a 10 per cent raise. The raise would also be admissible on family pensions granted under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954.

The government has sent a proposal to the CM to raise the minimum pension from Rs3,000 to Rs5,000 from July 1. The family pension is also proposed to be raised.
