Visit reveals several violations.

ISLAMABAD: In a visit to the I-sectors of Islamabad on Sunday, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif ordered initiating an inquiry into the illegal issuance of licenses to private transporters for construction of bus stops along IJP Road.

Asif also expressed annoyance over the increasing presence of illegal road-side food stalls, makeshift shops, building material sale points, wagon and bus stands and kiosks in the I-sectors. Asif also took notice of illegal fencing around residential houses and directed for their removal.

He asked CDA Member Administration to probe into the matter of issuance of licenses by officers of the authority to private transporters for establishing illegal wagon and bus stands along IJP Road.

The chairman also expressed concern over the commercial activities in these residential sectors and directed Member Planning and Design to initiate appropriate action against miuse of residential units.

Asif also took note of an illegal parking lot by the owner of a hotel in Sector I-9 and ordered its retrieval. He also directed the officers to demolish an illegal wall constructed by traders along a public park in the sector.
