Man beaten up, thrown from second floor

Police have denied the allegations.

A man was beaten up and thrown from the second floor on Sunday allegedly by a group of men he had accused of killing his brother.


He was taken to Civil Hospital, where doctors treating him said he had several broken bones. Ruka Kikranwali resident Saifullah said that he had filed a case with Ferozwala police against Rana Khari for trying to kill his brother. He alleged that Khari had bribed the police, who raided his house on Sunday and took him to a dera where Khari and his men beat him up. He said SHO Mirza Zaman was also present there. He said they beat him with sticks and pistols and threw him off the second floor. Some passers-by took him to the hospital. He said Khari had been pressing him to withdraw the FIR. Police have denied the allegations.
