SUKKUR: One person was killed and four others were injured in two road accidents in Ghotki on Friday.
The first incident took place near Dad Leghari in which a man was killed and another was injured after their motorcycle collided with a donkey cart.
Fateh Ali Pitafi and Khalid Pitafi, both residents of Chohar Pitafi, were on their way to their village on a motorcycle when they banged into a donkey cart, Fateh Ali was killed on the spot and Khalid was injured and shifted to Mirpur Mathelo hospital.
In another incident, three people including women, were injured in a road accident at National Highway near a nursery in Mirpur Mathelo.
Mehrab Shaikh, along with his nieces, Subhana and Ayesha, was riding his motorcycle to Wagni village when a Datsun pickup, which was coming from the opposite direction, hit them.
All three occupants of the motorcycle were injured while the driver managed to escape along with the vehicle.
The injured were shifted to Mirpur Mathelo hospital but the police have yet to register a case.
