QUETTA: Provincial legislator and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz minority leader Santosh Kumar on Thursday reiterated the Balochistan government’s commitment to protect minorities in the province.
Attending a ritual on the third day of the slaying of Hindu trader Kishor Kumar on the Sariab Road neighbourhood, Kumar said he has conveyed the concerns of the minorities to the higher authorities and concrete steps will soon be taken to ensure protection to the people.
“The prime minister and Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malilk Baloch have taken the issue very seriously and will make efforts to ensure security of the Hindu community,” he added.
