Traffic: Trucks banned on main roads

LAHORE: The district administration has imposed a ban on all trucks driving on main roads from 4pm till iftari to ease out traffic in the city. The ban also applies to Mazda trucks, oil tankers, water tankers, trucks used by Lahore Waste Management Company, the WASA and the PHA. Officials said the purpose of the restriction was to facilitate citizens so they could reach their homes in time for iftari. DCO Naseem Sadiq imposed the ban after consultation with representatives of Mazda Truck and Oil Tankers Association.
