Remote-Controlled Blast: Explosion kills two in Kohat

KOHAT: A blast outside a mosque killed two men and injured three in the Kacha Pakka area in Kohat.

The explosives were fitted to a motorbike, said DSP Mushtaq Hussain, adding that the blast occurred at 1:35pm on Thursday.

“My brother, who had gone for prayers to the mosque, called me and told me about the explosion,” he said Hussain added that unidentified militants had detonated the bomb with a remote control as soon as the people stepped out of the mosque.

The dead were identified as Zahir Hussain and Hamid Raza. The injured, who were  identified as Waqar Haider, Nijat Ali and Mubeen Ahmad, were shifted to a hospital.
