LAHORE: Ghaziabad SHO was instructed by a court for the second time to submit his comments on a petition seeking action against cricketer Salman Butt for confessing to spot fixing.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti gave the SHO till July 13 to file his comments.

The petition has been filed by one Ghulam Ali has filed the petition, who says that Butt cheated the nation first by getting involved in spot fixing and then lying about it.

The public views cricketers as heroes, he says, and they are paid handsomely by the Government of Pakistan to represent the country.

The money they are paid is the taxpayer’s money and therefore Butt should be penalised for what he had done, Ali says.

The petitioner approached the SHO concerned to register a criminal case against Butt but he did not.
