Valuing diversity: World languages course from August 19

Punjab University’s Institute of Communication Studies (PU ICS) on Friday launched a one-month international languages programme as a compulsory course for its students. The students can choose from eight world languages.


This year Hindi, Chinese, and Turkish languages have been added. Previously – German, French, Persian, English and Arabic – were being offered.

The students of BS, MS, Replica and development journalism, will study one of the g languages from August 19 to September 20.

Lecturer Maliha Leghari of the Institute is the coordinator of the programme which is being conducted under the supervision of Dr Noshina Saleem, also of the Institute .

Last date for submission of admission applications is July 8. A Rs1,500 fee is to be submitted with the application.
