Seminar: ‘Distance learning can open doors for prosperity’

GCUF had devised a comprehensive distance learning system by providing state-of-the-art facilities for students.

Speakers at a seminar arranged by Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) on Friday encouraged people who had been unable to pursue higher education to benefit from the option of distance learning.


Acting Vice Chancellor Naureen Aziz said that the distance education had evolved as an alternative to formal education. She said the new system of learning had been developed to cope with the increasing population.

She said distance learning enabled employed people to continue their studies. She said that higher education was a vehicle for socio-economic development.

She said that the GCUF had devised a comprehensive distance learning system by providing state-of-the-art facilities for students.

HEC Deputy Director Hakim Ali stressed the need to motivate employed people to improve their skills through distance learning.
