The search operation, conducted by Rangers in collaboration with area police, lasted for several hours.
During the raid, Rangers officers seized a huge amount of arms, a few motorcycles, a monitor, mobile phones and threatening pamphlets.
One of the pamphlets warned women against visiting marketplaces.
According to initial investigations, the suicide bomber had reached Karachi from North Waziristan yesterday.
Security officers said all the arrested suspects belonged to banned outfits.
Around 1,500 Rangers officers took part in the operation, which was conducted on a tip off.

I must congratulate the Pakistani forces on the success of the operation. Manghopir is fast becoming a den for the Taliban. There should a large operation in Mangophir and the Taliban network which operates from there must be utterly smashed.
We need to develop a solid policy against terrorism instead of skedaddling in Lala land. I don't know when we will realize the terrorists are a major threat to peace in Pakistan.
Our Rangers have been arresting 15 to 20 peoples who are either Accused or Criminals or murderers on a daily basis but the result is still ZERO for a long long time. why they have failed to maintain law and order situation in the city or failed to provide peace and security to the the citizen of Karachi...This seems just a news as their performance and nothing more...

Suicide bomber came from North Waziristan. The most dangerous of fanatics come from a particular geopgraphy in the North-West. It's time for the Army to launch a full scale operation there. There was also a pamphlet warning women from visiting markets. I think the people of Karachi should make it clear to these people that Karachi is not tribal area. We are moderate and progressive people. They can implement their views in their own area. Please don't come here.

Why not just shoot them, as its quite obvious, that judicial process to deal with these cockroaches is rather lame and extremely ineffective ! They are people who are hurting your own innocent people ! Wake up !
These suicdide animals should be hanged immediately. No need to put them in front of judges because sooner or latter they will come out.
@Faried Nawaz: I think you just wanted to criticize for the heck of it. I remember a few years back there was a home made bomb in a monitor at JPMC in Karachi. They showed the dogs going just past that monitor sitting on the side of the pavement over and over again on TV after it exploded. These people put home made bombs in things such as computer monitors etc so that no one can realize what they really are before they explode. So, I think our 'AWAM' has a few short memory.... and you just have nothing better to say!
