GUJRANWALA:

The bodies of a woman and a male relative were found from her house on Thursday, Jinnah Road police said. They said their throats had been slit.

A man, who said his name was Ghazanfar and that he was relative of the deceased, told police that he and the deceased man, Mubasher, were visiting Nosheen, a nurse, in Iftikhar Shaheed Colony on Wednesday night when two unidentified men entered the house and hit them with bricks. He said he fainted and found himself on a roadside when he came to. He said he rushed back to the house and found that Nosheen and Mubasher had been killed. He said he then informed the police. He said Mubasher had returned from Greece a few days ago. Police said they found the narrative suspicious. They said Ghazanfar would be questioned at length.
