As many as 50 Ulema of the Sunni Ittehad Council in a collective edict declared that killing an innocent is the biggest sin and killing of foreign guest is the worst crime. It was also declared in the edict that attacks on Mosques, hospitals, educational institute, funerals and security forces is not Jihad.
Edict was given in the wake of the recent killings of foreign tourists and attacks in Peshawar and Quetta.
Afghan Taliban are fighting against the US occupation while Pakistani Taliban are just a group of professional assassins, edict stated.

Mere political agendas... I applaud the Ulema of the Sunni Ittehad Council for clearly condemning these sucide attacks but the question comes which comes into my mind is why now? Why not before? Why? It should have been clear from the very beginning that violence in Islam was never ever allowed regardless whatever happens (defence is not a act of violence - The action of protecting from attack; Something used to oppose attack; An argument in support or justification of something en.wiktionary.org/wiki/defence)

@BruteForce Look at it the other way, Muslim killing muslim is ok, but its greatest sin on earth when others do, even if it is a retaliation.

I don't suppose you've noticed the irony of typing in a western language (English) and using a product of Western science (Internet) to post on this page and then claim that others are not Muslim enough for using the same.

I dont think the suicide bombers will pay any attention to their fatwa. not sure whether these suicide bombers are even muslims or not. The government needs to tackle this serious problem.
... but the ones that are carried out by Taliban do not come under its scope since they are doing it against drone attacks carried out by America.
So why was this Fatwa not issued in the 1990s, during the Fidayeen attacks on the Indian forces in Kashmir? Why now?
Or, I should perhaps have led with this, is Suicide attacks a sin only against Muslims according to this Fatwa, or extends to all non-Muslims around the world?

nobody listen to these socalled ulema. Its the governments job to stop these attacks. right?
