Tauqir Sadiq's deportation: Visa-less NAB team unable to travel

Two member NAB team was scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi on July 2, 2013 but did not receive their visas on time.

LAHORE: The two-member team that was scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi and escort back ex-OGRA Chairman Tauqir Sadiq have been stranded since their travel visas have not yet been cleared, The Express Tribune has learnt.

The team comprising Deputy Director NAB and OGRA corruption case Investigation Officer (IO) Rana Shahid was scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi on July 2,2013 and complete Sadiq’s deportation procedure.

However, with no visas in hand, they were unable to embark on their journey.

Earlier on June 19, 2013 former chairman OGRA Tauqir Sadiq voluntarily surrendered himself after an Abu Dhabi court ordered his deportation.

How dumb it is! If these investigations officers are not capable of planning their trip then what can they do? They must be either demoted to some clerical job or kicked out of service. Tax payers money should not be wasted on people like these.

Come on guys, it takes utmost 5 days to get the visa ..... typical behavior of dudes dealing accountability in the country
