Pet rooster: Man killed in dispute over bird

A case has been registered against five men on the complaint of Arshad’s brother.

A man has been killed in a dispute over an injured bird.


Police said Waqas Zeeshan, a motorcyclist, was stopped and beaten by Shahid after the latter’s pet cock was hit by the motorcycle and injured.

Zeeshan’s uncle, Muhammad Arshad, and some relatives then went to Shahid’s house to discuss the matter.

Khadim Husain, a witness, said that Shahid manhandled Arshad who fell to the ground. His relative Muhammad Anwar then challenged Shahid who pulled out a pistol and started shooting, killing Arshad on the spot. A bullet aimed at Anwer hit Faisal in the leg.

Batala Colony SHO said that police had arrested accused Shahid and Faisal.

A case has been registered against five men on the complaint of Arshad’s brother.

The body has been sent to a mortuary for a postmortem examination. Shamsul Islam.

As a punishment, all of his birds should be killed in front of him and made into a yummy korma and distributed to everyone in jail! Killed a man over a bird... Only in Pakistan!
