QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA said on Friday that the unstable state of law and order had driven some 10,000 families away from Dera Bugti.

Speaking to the media, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti requested the chief minister of Balochistan to ensure the rehabilitation of those families.

He said that the minorities who ran 80% of the business in Dera Bugti had to flee the district on account of the volatile situation.

He, however, in the same breath dispelled the number being reported in the media about IDPs saying “Yes, lawlessness caused people flee the district, but it must be determined why they left,” and clarified that there were many people who were settled in Jaffarabad, Naseerabad and Suhbat Pur areas for business purposes.
