Banker murder case: Court extends Mansoor Mujahid’s remand

The remand was extended by district South judicial magistrate Zeeshan Manzoor.

KARACHI: A district and sessions court on Friday extended the physical remand of noted filmmaker Mansoor Mujahid and his co-accused for two more days.

The remand was extended by district South judicial magistrate Zeeshan Manzoor.

Mujahid and his friend, A*, have been accused of killing a 33-year-old banker, Faisal Nabi,  at the former’s flat on Zamzama on the night between June 19 and 20.

They disposed of his body, which was later found outside Sun Rise Apartments in Clifton Block 2 on the information provided by the accused.

The Clifton police had registered an FIR,  No. 192/2013, under section 302/34 on the complaint of Nabi’s brother-in-law, Nayal Khan, in which he nominated both Mujahid and A*.

The police also registered another FIR, No. 192/2013, under section 13E A-1 against Mujahid for being in possession of an illegal weapon.
