BAHAWALPUR: A man killed his wife on Friday by giving her a poison. Ali Muhammad and an accomplice, Afsar Fayyaz, allegedly killed Haseena Bibi, 22 after beating her and forcing her to swallow poison, said Bibi’s brother Abid Hussain. Hussain said that the two had often quarreled over a land dispute. The Nowshera station house officer said an FIR had been registered against Muhammad, Asghar, Ghulam Nabi, Fayyaz and three others on the complaint of Abid Hussain. The body was taken to the rural health centre for a post-mortem examination.
