The two-minute video, which only shows the Czech pair for a few seconds before cutting to a photo montage, offers no indication of the kidnappers' identity or more recent proof of life.
The video first appeared on Facebook, on a profile created on Sunday under the name "Orna Moshe".
Foreign ministry spokesman Karel Srol told AFP that the authenticity of the footage was being discussed by the crisis unit dealing with the abduction of the pair in Balochistan.
"I'm Antonie Chrastecka. I'm Hana Humpalova," the women say in the video, both wearing head scarves and appearing unharmed.
The video then cuts to alleged images of their passports with the purported voice of one of the women as the soundtrack: "Today is 16 April, after one day of Boston (Marathon) bomb blast in USA."
"Our health are in good condition but our life in risk. Thanks for all who are helping us," she says in accented and broken English.
The two psychology students were kidnapped on March 13 while being escorted by a tribal policeman after crossing into Pakistan from Iran on holiday.
The voice in the video pleads for the release of neuroscientist Aafia Siddiqui, jailed in the United States on charges of terrorist links. Images of Siddiqui appear throughout the video.
"Also appealing to the international community, especially Europe and American (to) respect the right of Muslim women and the exercise of their religion and gain full civil rights," she continues.
"This injustice done to Muslim women make us in this bad situation and brings Muslim hostility against us in every place."
Czech President Milos Zeman wrote a letter to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari a few days after the abduction requesting help, but the women have not yet been located.

@Indian Catholic: Check you geography, Kid. FATA is not in Baluchistan. They were abducted from Baluchistani areas closer to Iran. FATA is way up north bordering with Afghanistan. Just like to comment whether you know anything or not?

@Shuja:
"Why is it that Aafia Siddiqui is wanted by terrorists across the world?"
That is an excellent question. An even more pertinent question is why does Pakistani Establishment want her back so badly. Right here in ET there was a report regarding Pakistan's demand for return of Afia:

Here is another demand:

Pak kidnappers want Aafia Siddiqui, in return for abducted Czech women http://goo.gl/xgcKU
Why is it that Aafia Siddiqui is wanted by terrorists across the world? Earlier this year, even Mokhtar bel mokhtar, the dreaded terrorist of African Sahara, termed by European Intelligensia as unmatchable, demanded her release in return of abducted foreigners in Algeria.

How absolutely terrible for the families of these poor women. I hope they are recovered safely. This is what Pakistan has been reduced to, what a great country is used to be...
@muhammad aysha: Study history and you will fine even more terrible face of Christianity. Perhaps Jews have not "given" something to the ret of the world until creation of Israel. Moral: Religion should be an issue between individual and the creator. Only then dream of peace can be realised (keep delusional)

@GhostRider: agents!
Why Afia Siddiqi is so much liked by many Pakistanis, including its Parliamentarians and Imran Khan? It is because she is closely related to Khalid Sheikh, the Al Quaida planner of 9/11 attacks who was caught in Karachi. I think she married Khalid Sheikh's nephew after divorcing her previous husband.
Afia Siddiqi's education is in teaching for children with learning disabilities. Her own sister said this on live TV. Zaid Hamid was mentioning in the TV show that Afia Siddiqi was a research scholar on biological weapons and as she is a valuable asset and expert on biological weapons, US wants her. Afia Siddiqui's sister said on the same TV show that Afia Siddiqi is just a teacher with specialization in teaching children with learning disorders and asked Zaid Hamid and the media to stop spreading lies. Watch Meher Bukhari's TV show. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=2123120989842
@sehr.siddiqui: Aafia is a psycho who was convicted by a court of law.
Where is Aafia Siddiqui's family who waste no time to come on media whenever her name is mentioned, and why aren't they condeming the abduction of these women? Double standards?
"The two psychology students were kidnapped on March 13 while being escorted by a tribal policeman after crossing into Pakistan from Iran on holiday." What does the "policeman" have to say?
Extremely worried for these two girls. They're in real danger. They might even get converted, ofcourse on their free will and marry their kidnappers out of more free will.
@muhammad ayesha you dont even know the spelling of word muslim
The insane grievances and actions of extremists and terrorists. The more they 'protest' the more guilty Aysha Siddiqui is of being part of the extremist terrorist network..
@muhammad aysha: The fake name that you have identifies that you are not a muslim :).
What has the Czech Republic got to do with Afia Siddiqui? Does it imply that every foreigner is an American? Czech is very beautiful and peaceful country. This act had worsened Pakistan's already non-existent image.
Dear innocent Pakistanis, does it ring any bells why Dr. Aafia Siddique is so much wanted by the terrorists? Please do some basic research about her before claiming her as the "daughter of Pakistan" and passing resolutions in the parliament for her release.
@Traveler: Sorry for the error. I had read the article in a Czech newspaper a few weeks back and seemed to have got the location wrong.

Some simple and similar questions, What was Aafia doing in Afghanistan? Whare she got her higher education ? Was she married? I guess Yes. Why we do not hear anything from her husband ? Wasn't she working for any spy agency ? Which party and why that party is running a campaign for Aafia. There are several unanswered questions we ought to know. I seek a help here.
I guess the world has got to recognize the terrible place that Pakistan has become...lawlessness and Islamic extremism have made it unfit for civilized people...sad but true...
@Indian Catholic: Thats true and I have also met a lot of overland travelers in Karachi who travel through this route. In fact one of my Pakistani friends left from Karachi in the reverse direction, just last week. But then on the other hand the area is extremely uninhabited and not even a fraction of Pakistanis have been to that place, this is why people fail to make sense of this. One correction though for your kind information, it was not FATA but the Tuftan-Quetta highway, which is in Balochistan province, where their trip ended abruptly.
@AR: Reality Bites.
Aafia"s family should come forward and denounce and condemn this act. they should ask the militants to let go of these innocent women.
wow this made front page news? No authenticity of the video? What on earth were the two czech girls doing in Baluchistan, and what have they got to do with aafia sidiqqui?
@GhostRider: They were coming overland from the Czech Republic to India. Their journey came to an abrupt end in FATA after crossing Iran AND Afghanistan.
Can anybody post the link to the video ?
but what czeh has to do with aafia?
@ab: Pakistan should openly inform the world giving details of no go areas of Pakistani territory for foreigners as well as own citizens . This will help save more lives and pain .
@ GhostRider & ab
Passports of NETO member countries were also found in the caves along Afghan border during early Pak Army's assault on Taliban.
big question why really were they in Balochistan where even media cannot access?
What has happened to Pakistan?
Must be a stunt to catch with the fame of Eye to Eye on facebook.
What were these ladies doing in areas of a foreign country where the govt has no writ?
Sigh. So sad for all three women. Inhumane
Why do these foreigners go to places like Balochistan and Waziristan when even the Pakistani nationals dont dare to go there. They know the situation but still for the sake of fun go to such dangerous places
