Last rites: Funeral prayers held, compensation announced

The funeral prayers of the two Rangers men were offered at Bhittai Rangers Headquarters at Malir Halt.

The funeral prayers for the policemen and Rangers personnel, who lost their lives in the bomb attack on the convoy of Sindh High Court’s senior judge, Justice Maqbool Baqar, were offered separately on Wednesday.


The funeral prayers for the policemen were offered at the police headquarters in Garden, which was attended by Sindh High Court Chief Justice Mushir Alam, Sindh IGP Shahid Nadeem Baloch, Additional IG Ghulam Haider Thebu and other senior officials along with the victims’ families and relatives. The IGP expressed his condolences and promised that the victims’ families would be compensated for their losses. Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of the two Rangers men were offered at Bhittai Rangers Headquarters at Malir Halt. Later, the bodies were sent to their hometowns, Jhelum and Mianwali districts, for burial.
