LONDON: Iftikhar Hussain, arrested by the London Metropoliton Police in connection with the Imran Farooq murder case on Monday, was released on bail on Tuesday, Express News reported.

Hussain was questioned for over 48 hours by police at a west London police station. He is reportedly related to a significant Pakistani politician.

The London police though made no statement about what Hussain was asked about during his detention.

Hussain's bail lasts till September.

British police investigating the murder of exiled Pakistani politician Imran Farooq in London nearly three years ago said on Monday they had arrested a man at Heathrow airport on Monday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

The 52-year-old Iftikhar Hussain, a British citizen of Pakistani origin, was detained by counter-terrorism officers as he arrived on a flight from Canada and was taken to a West London police station, police added in a statement.

The phone sims of the suspect were taken in custody and the data collected brought some important information in the limelight.

Earlier this month, police searched two residential properties in London as part of the investigation and reportedly uncovered a money laundering scheme.

Nothing will happen people. British Mi-6 have been protecting he-who-must-not-be-named for the past 20 years. An unstable economic engine of Pakistan(Karachi) is in interest of many lobbies and governments, who do not want to see Pakistan progress.
