LAHORE: Mian Shakeel has been reappointed to the post of managing director of the Lahore Parking Company and will take charge of his office from Wednesday.

Shakeel, the company’s first managing director, had been transferred to the Sialkot district coordination office under the caretaker government ahead of the general elections.

He was relieved of that charge on Monday and returned to the Lahore Parking Company on Tuesday.

The managing director oversaw the company’s plans to auction off a contract for the automation and management of the city’s parking facilities, which were put on hold during the election.

The Lahore Parking Company has now to decide between the three bidders for the contract.

The managing director is also expected to seek funding for the shifting of their office to the Arfa Kareem Tower.
