ISLAMABAD: The 20th anniversary of the Shifa International Hospital was celebrated on its main campus, where music, food, shopping and fun for children were the main items on a sweltering midsummer Sunday. Different attractions such as face painting, a bouncing castle and jumping off makeshift mountain cliffs were among the most popular entertainment avenues for children. Asim Jawad, who visited the celebration-cum-gala with his wife and two children, called it a refreshing Sunday. For adults, a musical concert was performed by a band of pop singers who received thunderous applause from the audience. Sajid was also among the visitors. He said that the occasion could have best been celebrated by setting up stalls on hygiene besides holding health talks. A few free-of-cost stalls for visitors to test blood pressure, weight and other illnesses had also been set up. Some entrepreneurs from the city had also set up stalls to reach out to attendees.
