ISLAMABAD: Even though interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan may have his hands full with the law and order situation in various parts of the country, on Saturday he accorded audience to Dr Fouzia Siddiqui, sister of incarcerated neuroscientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui, Radio Pakistan reported.

Dr Fouzia briefed the Interior Minister about various steps relating to Aafia’s detention in the United States and the various steps by the previous government to secure her release from American prison.

She said that the previous government’s efforts have failed to bear fruitful results. She requested the Minister for renewed efforts to secure her sister’s release.

Khan said that he would call a special meeting on the issue and assured Dr Fouzia that all possible support and efforts for ensuring Dr Aafia’s release will be made.

She is a terrorist and needs no sympathy...I do not know why Pakistan is so eager in bringing back the terrorist to the country.. Pakistan is a strange country where Malala is a terrorist and Afia is a heroine..
