LONDON: report in the Daily Telegraph has alleged that up to 20 Britons are undertaking terrorist training in Pakistan to launch attacks in Britain citing intelligence sources.

Al Qaeda and associated militant groups are training the young Muslims, who hold British passports, in Pakistan's tribal areas.

They are being trained to use firearms and explosives in order to carry out shooting sprees in Britain, intelligence sources are cited as saying in the daily paper. "We believe there are 15 to 20 Britons in the camps," a source in Islamabad told the Telegraph, on condition of anonymity.

The report came after it emerged that Western intelligence agencies had uncovered an al Qaeda plot by Pakistan-based militants to attack Britain, France and Germany, according to security sources and media reports. British and US media reports had alleged that militants were planning simultaneous strikes in London and cities in France and Germany, in attacks similar to those in Mumbai two years ago.

Suriya Nazir | 13 years ago | Reply All BRITONS who have Pakistani roots should have a chip monitor inserted as a part of their entry into Pakistan, all their activities can be monitored Britain Intelligence & local authorities. It is time for Pakistan to either declare martial law and bring these thugs to justice and discourage any entry to take terrorist training in Pakistan. The punishment must be VERY SEVERE to discourage others from following; for now we have swishy washy meek and humble attitude towards these monsters; locals who see unhealthy behaviors should make a citizen arrest to tell these low lifers that their presence is not welcomed in our country,
