KARACHI: A complaint box has been placed outside the Central Police Office to address complaints and difficulties faced by the people in dealing with the police.

The police spokesperson said that the citizens can complain against delay in the registration of FIR, misbehaviour of police personnel, abuse of power, biased investigation and to identify black sheep in the police department.

Similar boxes would also be placed outside the offices of DIGs, SSPs and SPs within the next 24 hours.

A scrutiny committee headed by the AIG Oeprations would process these complaints and address them within two days.

The scrutiny committee would also be required to send a monthly report to the Inspector General of Police.
