Health Matters: CM orders inspection of hospital

He directed the provincial health authorities to find a solution to the situation.



LAHORE/ KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took serious notice of a news item about the alleged corruption at Liaquat University Hospital (LUH), Hyderabad.

A statement released on Thursday also stated that Shah has directed the chairperson of the Chief Minister’s inspection team to launch an inquiry into the matter.

The CM said that the hospital is one of the most important ones in the province and caters to the needs of hundreds of poor and needy patients, especially those belonging to rural Sindh. He directed the provincial health authorities to find a solution to the situation.

He asked the health secretary to visit the hospital and take action against officials.
