JHUDDO: Enraged residents of Jhuddo, Mirpur Khas, attacked on Tuesday the office of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) to protest against the 20-hour power outages.

The staff of the power utility fled from the office after seeing the charged and armed crowd walking their way.

The protesters also blocked Jhuddo-Mirpur Khas Road as they burnt old tyres during their sit-in.

Chanting slogans against Hesco officials, they demanded an end to the power cuts otherwise they would continue their protest.

The 20-hour loadshedding, they claimed, had destroyed their businesses and interrupted water supply from Tando Jan Muhammad.
