Public health: Judicial commission sought on measles

Siddique said the commission should consist of retired judges and independent experts.

LAHORE: Justice Muhammad Khalid Mehmood Khan of Lahore High Court sought a reply from the government by June 25 on an application to constitute a judicial commission to investigate measles-related deaths. Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Muhammad Azhar Siddique has filed the application in a pending petition against alleged government failure to control the epidemic. Siddique said the commission should consist of retired judges and independent experts. He requested that health authorities file a comprehensive report.
